Guren and her subordinates are all hit by the giant wave the Three-Tails caused. The unconscious Guren has a flashback about her past before she wakes up. Naruto is caught in an illusion about Orochimaru and Sasuke. After Kakashi finds him, the Konoha ninja conclude the heavy fog around the lake causes illusions and consider it to dangerous to do anything until they receive Tsunade’s orders. They choose to retreat to a safe place. In Konoha, Tsunade, Pakkun and Shizune discuss the fact that Akatsuki shouldn’t get their hands on the Three-Tailed Beast. Tsunade sends Shizune, Ino, Tenten and Rock Lee towards the lake to assist the others and seal the Beast. By the lake Sakura and Naruto discuss where Yukimaru should be returning home to. Naruto then runs off to find Yukimaru.
